SMS Terms & Conditions

Our messaging policy for LocalRadar SMS notifications

Effective Date: May 25, 2026

1. Program Description

LocalRadar (operated by Activecode Sverige AB, org. nr. 559481994701, registered in Sweden) operates an SMS notification program for users who have explicitly opted in via our website forms at https://www.getlocalradar.com or https://www.getlocalradar.com/audit.

Our SMS messages serve three purposes:

  1. Audit-ready notifications, when your local visibility audit report is complete
  2. Audit reminders, periodic reminders to re-audit and track your visibility over time
  3. Product updates, occasional announcements about new features relevant to local search visibility

Messages are sent to US phone numbers only. Recipients are typically US local business owners (home services, contractors, retail) who use LocalRadar to audit their visibility on Google and AI search engines.

2. How to Opt In

You can opt in to LocalRadar SMS messages in two ways:

  1. Landing page signup at https://www.getlocalradar.com, enter your email, phone number, and check the consent checkbox in the "Get audit results by text" section.
  2. Audit form at https://www.getlocalradar.com/audit, during the audit setup, optionally enter your phone number and check the SMS consent checkbox.

Both opt-in flows require explicit consent. The consent checkbox is never pre-checked. You must actively check the box and submit the form to enroll.

Each opt-in is logged with a timestamp, your IP address, and your browser's User-Agent for compliance records.

3. Message Frequency

Up to 4 messages per recipient per audit cycle.

Typical message frequency:

  • 1 message when your audit completes
  • 1 reminder after 30 days
  • Up to 2 product updates per quarter

Total expected messages: fewer than 10 per recipient per year.

4. Carrier Fees & Disclaimer

Message and data rates may apply.

LocalRadar does not charge for SMS messages. However, your mobile carrier may charge you for receiving SMS messages based on your wireless plan. Standard messaging and data rates from your carrier apply.

LocalRadar is not responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier related to receiving our messages.

5. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of LocalRadar SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message we send you.

After you opt out:

  • You will receive a confirmation message confirming you've been unsubscribed
  • You will receive no further SMS messages from LocalRadar
  • Your phone number is marked as opted-out in our system
  • You can opt back in at any time by replying START or by signing up again on our website

Opt-out requests are processed immediately by our automated system.

Score change alert:

"LocalRadar: Your visibility score dropped from [X] to [Y] this week. See what changed: [link] Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

Welcome:

"LocalRadar: Thanks for signing up. We'll text you when your audit is ready (up to 4 msgs/recipient). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

Product update:

"LocalRadar: New feature - track your competitors' AI search visibility too. Learn more: [link] Reply STOP to opt out."

8. Mobile Data Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information are subject to our Privacy Policy. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services (for example, with our SMS messaging vendor Twilio, who delivers messages on our behalf) is permitted. We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or messaging consent with any third party for their independent marketing purposes.

9. Consent Record & Compliance

By submitting our opt-in form, you consent to receive automated text messages from LocalRadar. Consent is not a condition of purchase or any service.

LocalRadar maintains records of your consent including:

  • Timestamp of opt-in
  • IP address at time of opt-in
  • Browser User-Agent at time of opt-in
  • The exact consent text that was displayed and agreed to

These records are kept for as long as you remain opted in, plus a reasonable period after opt-out for compliance audit purposes.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when these terms were last revised.

Material changes (such as changes to message frequency or program scope) will be communicated via SMS to existing subscribers before taking effect.
